COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Management of the Citadel Mall has confirmed with 11 News that one of the victims recovering after a shooting on Christmas Eve at a Colorado Springs mall was the mall’s security guard.
The shooting happened at The Citadel Mall.
Mall management says it’s security guard is recovering after being injured, saying the shooting could have been worse if the guard would not have stepped in.
The shooting at The Citadel Mall left 18-year-old Teryus Thomas of Colorado Springs dead. A donation page has been verified that will go toward helping Thomas’ family. More than $3,000 dollars has already been collected.
